I notice this every winter and I know it's coming and it still bugs me. I know this is technically a holiday destination but, even so, more and more of us are here full time and I get so tired of the fact that the standard of service takes a nose dive as soon as the summer's over. Surely businesses should be sucking up to the ones who keep them going all year round? I find that the worst one for this is the big Montserrat. During the summer they have lots of tills open but during the winter they seem to think we can make do with one or two, even when the queues are practically stretching all the way down to the fruit section! And they've got the staff because they're all standing around talking. So open more tills - show your regular customers some appreciation!

I've never been to Empuriabrava during the winter but I have heard some of my friends who are here all year round complain about the same thing. That's such a shame, you're the ones keeping all the businesses going and no one appreciates it. for you.
