Starting on Thursday and continuing throughout the weekend the local police will be running an advisory speed control campaign in the region using radar.
The aim of the campaign is to inform drivers about speed restrictions, the speed they were driving, future fines and the possibility of losing their licence. From January 1st 2007 mobile radar controls will be introduced and the fines and restrictions will become operational.
